Jury

Born in Trencin. Graduated in journalism from the Komensky University in Bratislava. Started his professional career as camera assistant at Czechoslovak Television in Bratislava. Started working as a journalist in 1972 –was editor-in-chief of the photo department at the Czech Press Agency, editor-in-chief of Praca newspaper and later of WATT-Foto-Video magazine. Worked with the Japanese press agency Kyodo News. Since 2007 Director of Media Institute at the Faculty of Media Studies in Bratislava (now the Paneuropean University). He is an author and co-author of over twenty books on photography, curator of 200 exhibition at home and abroad, the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize laureate, recipient of many awards, member of many international juries.
