The Academic Award winners get spoiled in Roztoky
The development company Trigema’s Academic Award for nature and environmental photography as part of Czech Press Photo contest has been going on for several years. Award-winning photographers are now offered a solo exhibition at hotel Academic’s gallery, which includes a relaxation weekend with pleasant pampering. Accompanying programme to the gallery’s exhibitions, interestingly set in the modern architecture of the hotel’s interior, are regular meetings and discussions with photographers, which have become a part of ‘Prague social life’. The last photographer to show his work here was the winner of CPP 2010, Jan Caga. This year’s winner, Dan Materna from MF Dnes, is preparing his exhibition for the Academic now. It is almost certain that he will be showing his favourite shy inhabitants of Czech forests. The gallery’s patron is the owner of Trigema, Marcel Soural; the gallery’s director is his wife Veronica, otherwise a keen macro photographer.
