299 photographers with permanent residence in the Czech Republic and Slovakia took part with the total of 4236 photographs.

The international jury awarded the main prize, the Photograph of the Year, and 8 first, 8 second and 8 third prizes with financial reward in 8 competition categories. The jury also awarded 9 honourable mentions, UNHCR award and 8 Canon Junior Awards for young photographers bellow 25 years of age.
The main prize – the Crystal eye – will be presented to the winning photographer by the President at the exhibition opening.
The Mayor of Prague awarded the Grant of Prague Czech Press Photo 2010, which he will personally hand over to the photographer at the exhibition opening.
Further awards: NIKON, ACADEMIC and FOTONOVA.
Visitors’ Award will be selected from the results of visitors’ questionnaire and the internet.
CZECH PRESS PHOTO 2010 is produced by CZECH PHOTO,
o.p.s. and the Capital City of Prague with the participation of UNHCR, Skoda Auto, Canon, Nikon, Trigema and Fotonova.
The Main prize – Crystal Eye – was created by Ruckl Crystal.
The exhibition will be opened from 19th November until 31st January 2011 at the Cross Hall and Knights’Hall of the Old Town Hall in Prague. The award ceremony and exhibition opening will take place on 18th November 2010 at 5pm in the Brozik Hall of the Old Town Hall.
The travelling of foreign versions of the exhibition is under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs if the Czech Republic.
