Four Czech Press Photo 2011 award-winning photographers (Stanislav Krupar, Jan Zatorsky, David Neff and Martin Krpac), who photographed important events of the last year, met with the public at the Old Town Hall in Prague. They projected and explained their work and answerd questions coming out of an interesting discussion.

- Jan Zatorsky from MFDnes taked about the necessary emotional distance photographers must have from the dramas taking place in front of their cameras.

- David Neff from MFDnes talked about photographer’s necessary emotional distance from the dramas taking place in front of his camera

- Martin Krpac, who documented the situation in Japan after the destructive tsunami for TV Prima, also talked about other important events he had witnessed.

- In connection with Krupar’s work, journalist Oleg Homola initiated a heated discussion on the increasing danger of neo-Nazi manifestations.

- Dynamic singing performance by fifteen-year-old Vitek Soural was a suitable relief from serious discussions.

- All four photographers proved that they can not only express themselves in pictures but also in words, and that they think deeply about their topics and have strong opinions of their own.

- The meeting was beautifully moderated by Veronika Souralova, owner of the Academic Photo Gallery in Roztoky near Prague, who will also be the guide in the future talks with photographers at the Czech Photo Gallery in Ujezd 19, Prague, Mala Strana.

- Video presentation was beautifully put together by Sergey Sekurov and Jiri Kocian. They will continue doing the same at CPG, where we believe we can again expect an interesting audience like we had at the Old Town Hall.
